Tense markers

Positive
Negative
Past tense
Ig
E
Future tense
It
Ei
Distant tense
Er

These always come after the direct object, to show which noun this is.

Indirect markers

These show that there is an indirect object and specifies the subject:

1st person
Ne
2nd person
Nei
3rd person
Af

The third person marker is always used with questioning.

In contexts where there is no indirect object, the subject is presumed. If it is necessary to be specified, then these must be used.

The plural article, "gu", can follow if the meaning must be distinguished.

Verb modifiers

Often, there are four different forms of each verb, specified by the markers va, u and za.

Other structures

Other clauses are often mixed together with the main clause, being positioned next to the same case of noun as in the previous cause.

The man held the stick above him and dropped it = stick-touch-PAST-untouch-2ND.VB-3RD.VB-IND.3RD PERS

Žas aka ig akali va u af. = /ʒas akæ ig akalI βæ: u: aφ/

All adjectives come after the rest of the clause, in the order that the word appears in the main section of the clause.

The phrases “but” and “if” (“am” and “ai” respectively) come at the end of the clause.

Sample text

Note that “ne” in this context, as the first person, refers to all humans ("we").

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.

Egesp mak ten ig lakał za ne.      Free rights equal PAST originate 1ST.VB IND.1ST.PERS
